Re: Annual meet in wrexham 28th October

Had too much going on this year to get to this. Would love to take a ride over in the ax to this one year.

AX GT Meets 205 Rallye in Classic and Sportscar

Nice article in the the January 2017 issue of Classic and sportscar. They would have preferred to have taken a look at an Ax sport but couldn't find one apparently, they say the last Ax sport they know of had an asking price for £12,650 They reckon the 205 rallye is worth about £12,000 twice as much...

Re: RIP Charlie, axnutty

No been on the site for a while but was taken aback to read this.

Had a chat with him a few times at motorsport events.

Thoughts are with his family and friends.

Re: Anyone do any rallying, hill climbing etc??

I did a fair bit of motorsport years ago, rallying, rallycross, sprints, circuit racing and even had a go at a drag race once. Now I just do classic (road) rallying, autotests and the odd sprint or two. For Rallying the goalposts as regards car prep are always on the move. The biggest recent change ...

AX out competing this Sunday at Croft

There's an Ax on the entry list for the Jack Frost stages this Sunday at Croft. Car 86. Not me but I do know the Driver and Navigator. Second rally for the driver. (the first was the Christmas stages at the same venue) Nice to see an ax still out and being used. Might have a ride out to take a look ...

Re: gti gear knob new

Anyone got the part number for the 92 Ax GTi gear knob, was going to repair the one in the car that has lump out but if they aren't too expensive I'll just buy new.

TIA

Re: New AX GTi Owner

I've got the gravel springs fitted along with some bilstein inserts. A fair bit nicer to drive, and don't live in fear of speed humps any more. Just need to raise the rear ride height to match now. [-X Battery box on its way to keep scrutineers happy. I need to put some trim and rear seats back in s...

New AX GTi Owner

Hi there, I've just acquired an ax GTi prepped up for track days, I wasn't really looking for an ax but got pointed in the direction by pistonheads shed of the week. Quickly realised they are one of the quickest 1400cc and under cars about and kicked the idea of a corsa or clio into touch. The car i...
