AX 1.9td (the SCANIA)

Hi.Im from portugal and this is my project.Yeah i know..call me crazy,but i enjoyed doing it XD

It used to be 1.4D,and swapped for a 1.5 from a 106. Then i got bored..I had this 1.9D from a Partner laying around so decided to have some fun, all made with "scrap"
The intercooler isnt the best,already bought one, and a bigger radiator

I have seen that engine put into a 106 before but never an AX, great work!

If that fits, a 2.0 CT that the 406 used would fit too, and that's 200bhp/250lbft with light tuning.

Good work, but hope you put some strength back into that chassis rail?

Yeah,i welded the chassis rail, and other things to give the chassis some strength
Will post some pictures of it :)

i know a guy that fitted a 2.0 HDI into an ax, but there's not much info of it.Thank you :)

I made them, half partner half saxo lol.But i think the 205 1.8 diesel ones fit, will try them soon

I'm a bit worried about the weld breaking on drive shafts if I were to swap in a gearbox like this one, so if you can find existing shafts that have the right lengths (205) and they do fit, I would really like to know. :)

Well i dont think they'll break, but the right side one i made is broken,making some noises.
Ill try the 1.8D ones and give a feedback ;)

It does, but would be better with the xudt gearbox, its too "revvy" with this one
